2. The main functions and technical conditions of the video wall controller

3. Video wall controller selection

(1) Matrix controller
The matrix controller is used to switch any input RGB or video signal to any path of the output and directly to the projector for display. The hard splicing relies on the projector's functions to achieve splicing, the imaging speed is fast, and the matrix controller signal switching speed is also fast. Therefore, the hard splice is suitable for occasions where the display mode needs to be frequently switched. The number of channels of the input signal of the matrix controller should be determined according to the number of signal sources, and the number of channels of the output signal should be no less than the number of projectors. Usually, the matrix controller has two kinds of switching modes: the control panel and the RS-232 serial port command. Therefore, whether the product can provide the communication protocol command code is very important, which involves whether the matrix controller can realize the computer control problem. The analog signal bandwidth should be more than 300m to ensure image transmission quality. The input impedance should match the source to stabilize the image display. These parameters sometimes need to be determined by debugging.

 

(2) Video wall controller
In addition to the CPU, memory, input and output interface and operating system of the standard graphics workstation, the video wall controller also has multi-channel video and RGB input and output interfaces. It can digitize various external video and RGB analog signals and image them in the imaging device. , and then converted into the analog signal output to the big screen, and can be freely moved, enlarged and reduced on the large screen, to achieve seamless splicing of any size across the screen and multiple windows, as flexible and convenient to operate in a large window. The process is also called soft stitching, and the video wall controller is also called a soft stitch controller.

(3) Centralized controller
It is a middleware that controls a variety of media devices, equipped with computer hardware and a dedicated operating system, with the ability to upload standard computer programs, upload touch screen engineering programs, update operating systems, and write control programs. For the selection of the centralized controller, the control object and control properties should be clearly defined first. In the large-screen display system, it is generally necessary to switch control of RGB, video, and audio signals, shift control of lights, curtains, cameras, and power supplies, and play control on DVDs, VCDs, and decks, and accordingly select RS. -232 protocol program control, relay switch control, a centralized controller for infrared output interface. Secondly, the control terminal should be chosen. Usually, the wired and wireless touch screens are chosen as the control terminals, and the centralized controller is required to have an input interface for receiving RS-232 commands and radio signals.
